Das Smalley Sicherungsring-Sortiment von TFC bietet jedoch eine konkurrenzlose Auswahl an Typen, Größen und Materialien, um die anspruchsvollsten Anwendungen zu erfüllen. Im Gegensatz zu gestanzten Sicherungsringen werden Spirolox-Ringe hochkant auf den exakt erforderlichen Durchmesser gewickelt. Sie haben einen einheitlichen Querschnitt und werden in ein- oder mehrgängiger Form hergestellt, wobei mehrere der Bereiche direkt mit imperialen und DIN-Standardnutspezifikationen austauschbar sind. Dieses Herstellungsverfahren ermöglicht eine größere Flexibilität bei der Herstellung von Größen ohne Werkzeugkosten von nur 5 mm bis über 2.000 mm Durchmesser. Darüber hinaus sind die Produkte von Smalley dank umfangreicher eigener Walzwerksanlagen standardmäßig in Kohlenstofffederstahl, AISI 302 und 316 erhältlich und können auch in exotischen Legierungen wie Inconel X-750, A286, Elgiloy und Phosphorbronze geliefert werden. Ein weiteres einzigartiges Halteprodukt im Smalley-Sortiment ist der Hoopster®, der eine innovative Möglichkeit bietet, mechanische Komponenten zu halten, wenn der radiale Platz ein besonderes Problem darstellt. Der minimale radiale Überstand und die geringe Rillentiefe des Hoopster ermöglichen es, dort zu passen, wo Standard-Sicherungsringe und -Sicherungsringe nicht passen. Das niedrige Profil und die präzise Rundheit des Hoopster machen es zu einer unauffälligen Komponente in einer Baugruppe. Diese Ringe eignen sich für leichte und schwere Lasten und sind besonders ideal für dünnwandige Rohre oder Zylinder, bei denen die mit einem herkömmlichen Sicherungsring verbundene Nuttiefe wahrscheinlich ein Problem darstellt. Trotz ihres schmalen radialen Querschnitts können sie hohe Axiallasten aufnehmen, da sich ihr niedriges Profil unter Last nicht verdreht oder verformt wie herkömmliche Sicherungsringe und Sicherungsringe.
